Hurricane Sandy

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people on the East Coast as they brave it out through Hurricane Sandy.

If you're in the affected areas, and you're not busy evacuating your home, gathering food and supplies for your emergency kit, trying to locate a source of power, or overseeing your family and loved ones, and you just happen to be online, feel free to share or vent about what's going on.

Hang in there, East Coasters!  *Virtual hugs!*

It looks to be a bad storm. We had wind and some power flickers but otherwise the storm passed us by. We're praying for those in the storm's path.

Im in Ohio. Far enough not to get hit (yet) but my entire family lives in Baltimore aka directly in the line of fire. Havent heard much except that most of the power is out and everything is shut down (as in no one can leave thier homes). Seems like most people are just hanging out playing games and drinking. Honestly Im a little jealous ;-) ya know until the damage comed.

It's not too bad yet here in Philadelphia; rain and wind like a normal strong storm. The lights have been dimming but no loss of power at this point. No electricity would only be a minor inconvenience for me and my husband. I always worry more about the elderly who live alone and people with new babies and farms with lots of animals. Those people really need electricity and water. I hope they're all okay!! It's supposed to intensify here later tonight and tomorrow, but my fingers are crossed that Sandy loses her bad attitude soon!

Stacey: I hope your family enjoys some fun games and remains safe.

Laura: I too think about the elderly and people with babies and small children when I hear about stuff like this. Hang in there!

Livia: I'm looking forward to hearing about the end of the storm.

Awww, thanks, Cynthia! I'm feeling very blessed today. Lost power for less than 24 hours and had no trees down and no water damage. My prayers go out to all those who were hit hard.

Medeia: Some of the news I'm hearing is quite disheartening.

Paul: Thanks for your thoughts.

Ruth: Glad you're okay so far. My prayers too!
