Helping the People of Joplin: Kidlit Author Offers Manuscript Critique

The recent tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri has left many people requiring outside assistance. A handful of authors have stepped up to offer their services in exchange for donations to support the people of Joplin during this difficult time. One of them is kidlit author Laurie Halse Anderson- she is hosting what she calls "the auction that is more of a raffle"- the prize is a full manuscript  or 400 page critique from her. Candidates need to donate $10 to the American Red Cross for one entry. A $50 donation would equal five entries, and so forth. For more information on Laurie's contest, click here. The contest ends on Tuesday, May 31.
